Eight Lazy Nights (Gluten-Free)- Night 1

It’s Chanukkah and I find myself searching for my own way to celebrate. I grew up “half Jewish,” with a Jewish father and
Presbyterian mother. I never fully identified as either religion, but I appreciate the cultures and traditions. These are the things that make me feel connected and fulfilled. These are the things I like to focus on when celebrating the holidays. At 26 years old, I’m beginning to feel the urge to bring my own new aspects into the traditions I grew up on.

Since I love food and cooking, and I have Celiac Disease, I’ve decided to share Eight Lazy Nights (Gluten-Free) as a way to allow myself and other gluten-free people to enjoy all of the Jewish foods that warm the soul. These recipes are quick and easy to accommodate those pesky working hours, so we can enjoy delicious Jewish food every night of Chanukkah.
